Eau Claire Grant

Did you know that the Eau Claire Community Foundation has a fund named the Public Gardens Fund that was set up to make grants to gardeners so they can buy plants & materials for publicly-owned gardens that they are working with?

Grants have been approved for such projects as school teaching gardens, native trees for Wold Park, creation of neighborhood community rental gardens, and native plant gardens at Beaver Creek Reserve.

If you know of any projects that qualify as "public" (501(c)(3) tax status or tax-exempt status like government organizations) that need funds for current projects, now is a good time to learn about writing grant requests. Grants are generally given out in the spring. The Foundation website is https://eccfwi.org. Call 715-552-3801 and talk to a program specialist, or write to grants@eccfwi.org.

Good luck with your projects!
