Coming Soon: The 14th Annual Minneapolis Monarch Festival – Festival de la Monarca! Mark your calendars. Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10am - 4pm.
This wonderful Festival celebrates the monarch butterfly’s amazing 2,300 mile migration from Minnesota to Mexico with music, food, dance, hands-on art, native plant sales and plenty of opportunities to get up close with monarch butterflies, learn about their habitats, and what you can do to make a difference. A Minneapolis favorite, the festival draws thousands to a spacious bur oak canopy uphill from Lake Nokomis and the Nokomis Naturescape.
The Nokomis Naturescape Gardeneers and Wild Ones Twin Cities has been an integral part of the festival from the very beginning. Again this year, the Habitat Tent, will be hosted by us. We play a vital role in encouraging people to “bring nature home” with activities, learning opportunities and native plant displays.
Reach out to Wild Ones Twin Cities for upcoming info. See the volunteer sign-ups on the WOTC website. Join in the fun and spread the word of growing habitat!
